  • Vaigasi Viságam: Birth of Lord Kartikeya

Vaigasi Viságam is a significant Hindu religious festival commemorating the birth of Lord Murugan, also known as Kartikeyan. According to the Hindu calendar, Lord Murugan was born on the nakshatra of Vishakha (விசாகம்) during the month of Vaigasi, hence He's also called Visagan. Therefore, devotees celebrate His birth on the same nakshatra and in the same month every year. Murugan is known to be a warrior and a wise one, which is also the quality of His birth nakshatra, Vishakha. Vishakha is also the birth nakshatra of Lord Buddha. Buddha is also known for his wisdom like Kartikeya. Birth of Kartikeya Lord Kartikeya, the Son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, is the embodiment of valor and wisdom. He holds the esteemed position of being the commander-in-chief (Senapati) of the celestial army. His purposeful birth was destined to conquer the forces of evil and restore balance and harmony across the three realms. However, his birth was marked by a series of extraordinary events. It began with the self-immolation of Shiva's first consort, Sati, during her father Daksha's grand yagna. Enraged by this incident, Shiva beheaded Daksha and retreated into deep meditation for an extended period. Seizing the opportunity, Surapadma, the Asura king, embarked on a rigorous penance to obtain a boon from Shiva. The boon stated that he could only be defeated by Shiva's own son. Surapadma assumed that Shiva, engrossed in his meditation, would never have a child. With the absence of a divine successor, Surapadma, along with his brothers Tarakasura and Gajamukha, unleashed a reign of terror, slaying anyone who dared to oppose them, including the celestial army. In desperation, the devas sought a solution and turned to Lord Vishnu, who revealed that Parvati, the reincarnation of Sati, would become Shiva's consort and their combined energy would bring forth a child ordained to destroy the king of the asuras. Lord Agni, one of the devas, asked what if the king of asura knew about this and destroys the child. Vishnu smilingly replied that it was Agni's duty to avoid such incident and his further questions will be answered by time. Soon Goddess Parvati succeeded in attaining Lord Shiva as her divine consort after austere penance. Through their divine union, a blazing seed (embryo) was conceived. Lord Agni was entrusted to carry the seed safely to Saravana Poigai ("Shravana Lake"). The seed was so hot that even Agni couldn't bear the heat, so he broke it into six pieces for easier transportation and delivered them to the nurturing care of the six Krittika women, wives of the six celestial sages. They grew safely under the loving care of their foster mothers and learned many things including the dhanur veda. A few years later, Goddess Parvati journeyed to Saravana Poigai to reunite with her beloved offspring. She merged their six individual bodies with six heads into one harmonious being, bestowing upon him the name Murugan, also known as "Six Faced" (Arumugan). As Murugan grew, he possessed unparalleled beauty, intelligence, and immense power, earning him the name Kumara, signifying eternal youthfulness. Lord Kartikeya: The Liberator According to the Puranas, it is believed that standing in front of Lord Kartikeya purifies one with sattvic energy. The asuric kings, Surapadma and Tarakasura performed good deeds but were consumed by the demonic desires to control all three worlds. Eventually, in the midst of the great war called Surasamharam, they confronted Kartikeya for a final battle. Although Kartikeya emerged victorious, the demon kings humbly requested to be kept at His feet. In response, He granted their request and transformed them into the symbols of liberation: the Peacock and the Cock, after shattering their ego. Even to this day, those who worship Murugan also pay reverence to the Peacock and the Cock. Lord Kartikeya is primarily regarded as the "Tamil God," representing the deity associated with the Tamil language, culture, and traditions. Ancient texts mention that Sage Agastya created the Tamil language under the command of Kartikeya. Therefore, Agastya is revered as the Guru, while Kartikeya is revered as the presiding deity of Tamil. He is predominantly worshipped by the people of South India and the Yezidis of Iraq. Interestingly, Kartikeya holds a significant position among the Yezidis, who are an ethnic group native to the Iraqi region and surrounding areas. It is worth noting that they still carry the genetic lineage of their early ancestors. Importance of Lord Kartikeya Lord Kartikeya holds the esteemed title of being the guru of Supreme God Shiva, as He imparted the profound meaning of the sacred syllable "Aum" (the Pranava Mantra) to Shiva. Additionally, He is known by various names such as Saravana, Skanda, Subramanya, and more. The holy month of Sravana, also known as Saavan, is considered highly auspicious for worshipping Lord Shiva. It is in this context that Sravana nakshatra, connected to both Shiva and Kartikeya, gains significance. Among the 18 Puranas, the Skanda Purana dedicated to Kartikeya is the longest, encompassing over 80,000 verses. Furthermore, in the realm of astrology, Kartikeya is revered as the presiding deity of Mars.

  • Retrograde Planets and its effects

What is Retrograde? The term "retrograde" refers to the occasional backward movement of planets in the sky. Although all planets consistently move in the same direction, we perceive them as moving oppositely at times. This illusion happens due to Earth's relative motion with the corresponding planet(s). It's akin to how a fast-moving vehicle appears to move backward when overtaken. Perception Matters Planets, or grahas, serve as the cosmic clock's hands, marking time's passage. When they retrograde, time seems to reverse, implying the present drifts into the past, leading the world to revisit past actions and events. Despite modern astronomy dismissing retrograde as an illusion, astrology, which is rooted in ancient astronomy, extensively discusses the impact of retrograde on Earth. Astrology values not just reality but also how we perceive it, a notion akin to Einstein's relativity theory. Everyday phenomena like Sunrise and Sunset, products of Earth's rotation, are illusions, yet they profoundly influence our world. Ultimately how you perceive reality is as vital as reality itself in shaping your life. Blackhole via perception Astrological Explanation Having understood the significance of perception, let's delve into the astrological interpretation of retrograde planets. According to astrology, a retrograde planet signifies the following in your birth chart: you will have to confront the important unfinished karma of your past life you will repeatedly perform the karma related to your retrograde planet, and you will have to work on the weaknesses and false beliefs associated with that planet. Retrograde planets have a stronger impact during childhood. Example Charts Retrograde planets are known for their high karmic influence, which can make a person stand out from the norm, or even appear contradictory. These planets are called "vakri grahas" in Sanskrit, meaning "different or crooked". However, retrograde planets can also make a person unique or special, particularly if they are associated with benefic planets or form benefic yogas. As retrograde planets make a person repeat their karma, they can become experts in their particular field. 1. Srinivasa Ramanujan, the great mathematician known to the world as the man who knew infinity. Ramanujan's rise to fame can be attributed to the placement of his retrograde 9th lord Saturn in the 2nd house, which was aspected by benefic Jupiter and kendra to Venus, which made him famous between 1914 and 1919, during his Ketu dasha, because Ketu is under the direct purview of Saturn. His Saturn is exalted in the navamsha (aspected by Venus), further emphasizing his unique and exceptional qualities. 2. Neil Armstrong, the first human to set foot on the Moon. Armstrong gained fame in the late 1960s with his 9th lord Saturn retrograde in the 8th house, aspected by Jupiter and kendra to Venus. He landed on the Moon during his Moon dasha while Moon and Saturn are together in the chart. In the navamsha chart, his Saturn received the aspect of Jupiter once again. Retrograde planets aid individuals in achieving more than what others can, both in the spiritual and materialistic paths. They allow for a greater perception of the hidden reality compared to direct planets. Twists and Turns Retrograde planets can be compared to the nodes (Rahu & Ketu) due to their backward motion, resulting in works that have a nodal touch such as bringing sudden results, going against the norm, and opposing nature. According to astrological texts like Uttara Kalamrita and Phaladeepika, retrograde planets may also bring unexpected twists and turns in one's life. The opposite nature of exalted retrograde planets is said to act like a debilitated one and vice versa, but in my observation, an exalted retrograde planet eventually finds its way back after acting like a debilitated planet for some time in a native's life. This is especially true if they are associated with benefic planets or forming benefic yogas. Therefore, understanding the dignity of the planet is crucial in predicting the end result because the retrograde planet will find its way back sooner or later based on its dignity. Aspects of Natal vs. Transiting Retrograde Planets In a birth chart, the aspects of retrograde planets remain constant throughout life. However, the aspect of a transiting retrograde planet is determined based on its stationary point. If the planet moves from 20 degrees Aquarius to 10 degrees Aquarius, it's classified as same sign retrograde and will have a direct 7th aspect on the sign of Leo. But if it moves from 5 degrees Aquarius to 25 degrees Capricorn, it's considered a different sign retrograde and will be positioned in Capricorn, with an aspect on Cancer. The Role of Perception in Discovering the Reality Recently, scientists managed to capture the image of an actual black hole which appeared as a dark void in space surrounded by luminous light. However, the image is blurred due to a range of technical challenges, such as the fact that black holes do not emit or reflect light, but rather draw in anything that are close to them, including light itself. Nevertheless, the light particles that encircle the black hole are far enough away from its event horizon to escape, which ultimately led to the discovery of its existence. This discovery underscores the idea that perception plays a crucial role in understanding reality, even in the case of the most obscure and elusive phenomena. Without the perceptual cues provided by the surrounding light particles, the black hole would likely have remained invisible for years to come.

  • When Lord Rama Refused the Order of His Guru

Jupiter is the Devguru (teacher of the gods), while Venus is the Asurguru (teacher of the demons). Jupiter and Venus despite being archrivals, come together in Pisces, ruled by Jupiter, where Venus becomes exalted. Pisces is associated with the idea of nothingness, an abstract world without set principles or boundaries. It is like an ocean where anything and everything can be found, and represents unity in diversity. In Pisces, the good, the bad, and the ugly coexist without any discrimination. This is the true nature of a Guru, and both Jupiter and Venus are considered real Gurus who find mutual respect in Pisces. Sagittarius teaches the difference in principles and Pisces teaches to evolve through them, both are ruled by Jupiter. A true Guru teaches one to find wisdom and shows the path to freedom (moksha) by letting go of differences, but in order to do so, one must first understand the differences. This is why Sagittarius, the sign of dharma, which is based on the principles of natural law, justice, morality, purpose, duty, and religion, is the first sign in the zodiac belt ruled by Jupiter. However, dharma evolves in a self-contradicting way based on time, place, and situation. This is where Pisces, the second sign ruled by Jupiter, comes in, representing nothingness, an abstract world without boundaries, where everything coexists regardless of their differences. For instance, religion teaches us to wake up at Brahma Muhurta and recite mantras in reverence of Sun God (Surya), then follow our material duties. Spirituality, on the other hand, sees no difference between God and material, recognizing that all are one and the same. A spiritual Guru sees God in anything and everything, guiding one to grow and evolve beyond set rules and principles. Sagittarius teaches us to learn the differences, while Pisces teaches us to evolve through them. Both signs are ruled by Jupiter. Lord Rama and Sage Vishvamitra in the Forest The conversation between Lord Rama and His Guru Sage Vishvamitra is a perfect example of how dharma evolves. Upon becoming the students of sage Vishvamitra, Lord Rama and Lakshmana were entrusted with the task of guarding the sage's yagyas performed deep within the forest which were facing relentless disruptions from the rakshasas Maricha and Subahu. In response to the this, Rama and Lakshmana accompanied him on their journey through the dense forest. As they made their way, a gigantic woman named Tadaka charging fiercely towards them from a distance. Sensing the imminent danger, the sage commanded Lord Rama to kill her. However, Rama refused to do so, citing the teaching of his previous Guru Vashishta that killing a woman isn’t a dharmic act. Vishvamitra smiled at Rama and explained that Tadaka, despite her appearance as a woman, was a monster (rakshasi) who had killed and ate everyone in his village, and killing her was the only dharmic act. Lord Rama remained unconvinced and asked Vishvamitra why he was still alive if Tadaka had eaten everyone in his village. The sage explained that he was a yogi who constantly performed tapas and did not consume anything, which meant there was no flesh in his body. Therefore, Tadaka left him uneaten. Rama remained hesitant even after hearing this, but the sage urged him to listen once again. He explained that dharma is not a fixed and immutable concept; what Rama had learned from his previous Guru was valid but only within a specific context, dependent on the time, place, and situation. Without evolution, dharma could lead to great disasters. Hearing this, Rama became convinced and acknowledged that he had not heard such a perspective before. He declared that he would no longer hesitate to perform his duty and shot her with his bow and arrow right away. Importance of Two Gurus in Life According to the Shastras (sacred scriptures), including the Puranas (mythology) and Itihasas (history) one requires two distinct Gurus in life. The first Guru teaches you the initial principles of dharma, the foundation of your life, as depicted by astrology's connection to the 9th house (Sagittarius). The second Guru guides you on the path towards spirituality and moksha by revealing the evolution of dharma (Pisces). Both are indispensable and represent two sides of the same coin. By comprehending both, one can attain spiritual enlightenment. This pattern holds true for all types of education, where the first Guru teaches the basic principles, the second Guru helps you to advance your knowledge. Venus is known to bestow blessings upon his devotees swiftly compared to other celestial bodies, which is why he is associated with the themes of love and marriage. The saying "love is blind" may have originated from the fact that when people are in love, they tend to overlook other aspects and solely focus on their affection. Even Venus, the deity of love, is depicted as one eyed. The Feminine and Masculine Wisdom of Venus and Jupiter Both Venus and Jupiter are Gurus, possessing great wisdom and beneficence. However, the planet Venus is associated with femininity, while Jupiter is associated with masculinity. This can be attributed to Venus' emotional and nurturing nature, like a woman, whereas Jupiter's approach to love is more logical and analytical, even extending to his relationship with Indra, the King of Devas. According to Puranic accounts, Venus' emotional nature led him to jump to the defense of the asuras, despite their negative tendencies. His love for the underdogs blinded him to their flaws, causing him to act as their Guru. In contrast, Jupiter may have felt pity for the asuras but would have been more cautious, considering their asuric tendencies. In essence, the difference between Venus and Jupiter lies in their approaches to love and guidance.

  • Do Not Wish for Moksha, says the Guru.

Once, a disciple approached his guru with a curious question. He asked, "Guruji, when does the atma (soul) attain moksha?" The wise guru replied, "When the atma becomes tired of life." The disciple was puzzled and asked the guru to elaborate. The guru patiently explained, "There are three types of exhaustion - mental, physical, and soul exhaustion. When the mind is exhausted, it stops the body from functioning. Similarly, when the body is exhausted, it stops the mental function. But when the soul is exhausted, it stops the function of both the mind and body." Disciple: But when does this soul exhaustion happen? Guru: It happens when the soul has undergone countless births and experienced everything there is. At this point, the soul feels tired of life and becomes exhausted of both happiness and sadness because ultimately, both of them are burdens. Disciple: Can you explain why happiness and sadness are burdens? Guru: If one is happy, they will constantly strive to maintain it, but in an ever-changing universe, happiness cannot be found at all times. Therefore one cries and runs away when sadness arises, and as a result of dancing between happiness and sadness, their soul never finds rest while they are alive. That's why death is given as a gift, so the soul can rest in between. Eighth house rules over death, rebirth, and the gifts one receives. Disciple: But, don't most people reincarnate after death? Guru: Yes, that's because most people leave this world with a bunch of desires, causing them to reincarnate. This cycle continues as long as they continue to wish, but after living enough lives, exhaustion sets in, and naturally the soul stops wishing for anything but begins to long for an escape route from this cycle of birth and death. It starts searching for answers, and that's when the guru appears to provide wisdom and guide the soul on the path to moksha. Disciple: So, you mean we shouldn't actively seek out a guru, but rather, the guru will come to us when our soul is ready? Guru: Yes, that's right. You can have only one true guru in life, who leads you towards moksha, just like you have only one true mother who gave birth. Until then you will find many gurus come and go, like passing clouds, without making a lasting impact.

People usually commence projects, business, buy gold and other assets, perform religious rituals and ceremonies on this propitious day. Moreover, this day is believed to nullify the negative effects of your horoscope. This highly auspicious day falls in the month of Chitra, usually between April and May, during the waxing lunar cycle or shukla paksha. 'Akshaya' means eternal, everlasting, ever-growing, and inexhaustible while 'Tritiya' refers to the third tithi or lunar day. Although shukla paksha tritiya comes every month, Akshaya Tritiya holds immense importance as both the Sun and Moon are exalted on this day in Aries and Taurus, respectively. The Sun and Moon are the luminaries - the Sun created earth while the Moon created life conditions on it. They are the significators of father and mother, Shiva and Parvati, male and female, day and night, in essence representing the duality that pervades the universe. Origin of Akshaya Tritiya Its origin dates back to the mythological story of the Akshaya Patra, a vessel that provides eternal abundance to its possessor. According to legend, the Akshaya Patra emerged during the churning of the Samudra Mandan, a cosmic event to obtain the nectar of immortality (Amrita). Later in the epic tale of Mahabharata, Lord Surya gifted the Akshaya Patra to the Pandavas on this very day when they were in dire need, ensuring they would never go hungry and would always have food to offer to others in abundance. Thus the day was given the name, Akshaya Tritiya. Akshaya Tritiya is associated with many stories from different Puranas: Lord Parashurama, the 6th avatar of Lord Vishnu, was born on this day. It was on this day that the epic Mahabharata was narrated by Rishi Ved Vyasa to Lord Ganesha to write. Lord Krishna bestowed an endless supply of food to his childhood friend Sudama on this day. Serving and helping others will bring them gains, and they will make new friends with whom they may come up with revolutionary ideas in the second half of the year. They will work within a confined environment more than usual and may explore writing as an interesting pursuit. • New Year Predictions (Mundane) for Shobhakritu (Apr 2023-24)

Shobhakritu is the name of the samvatsara, or new year, that begins on April 14th 2023 and ends on April 13th 2024. It starts on the day when the sun enters Aries (Mesha Sankranti) and has 365 days, making it the authentic solar calendar that humans were originally meant to use. The beginning of this new year is celebrated in different names in Indian States as Puthandu in Tamil Nadu Vishu in Kerala Bihu in Assam Baisakhi in Punjab It is also celebrated in different names in countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Maldives, Mauritius and a few other South-East Asian countries. The term "Shobhakritu" signifies "auspicious deeds". Its name derives from the fact that Jupiter usually transits through Aries during this year. As Aries governs the head of the Kalapurusha, it is believed to motivate people to seek knowledge and perform noble actions. However, Jupiter's powerful influence can also result in unpredictable events, such as war or political upheavals, as it represents "military generals" who even intimidate leaders. Weather Outlook Although Vedic astrology doesn't directly associate Jupiter with rainfall or rain clouds, it is believed to bring growth and abundance, which can include rain clouds and rainfall. According to classical texts, Shobhakritu is also associated with more rainfall, leading us to expect favorable weather conditions this year. However, with Jupiter and Rahu in Aries from April 22nd to November 28th (7 months), we may experience extreme rainfall in the world. This brings my attention to El Niño, a global weather phenomenon that causes powerful storms, intense rainfall, or droughts in many regions more than usual. It can also pose a threat to marine life in the Pacific and damage coral reefs. The likelihood of an El Niño occurring this year is higher than usual due to Saturn's 3rd aspect falling over Jupiter and Rahu from Satabishak nakshatra. There may be extreme weather patterns from June through August of 2023, with increased rainfall in mountainous regions and drier weather in the plains. Although rainfall in the plains may initially be infrequent, it may improve and become more consistent from November 2023 onward. Technology Outlook Rahu's position in Aries since March 2022 has led to advancements in AI chatbots that have transformed writing processes. With Jupiter's presence, we can expect even more significant progress in the integration of AI bots in various fields. However, the eclipse season from April 22nd to May 4th may be a period of error correction. An interesting astrological event is taking place from May 8th to May 21st, 2023 when Jupiter, Rahu, and Mercury will be in Aries. This activates Revati, a nakshatra associated with time, light, and pathways. This transit is likely to accelerate long-pending results in the areas of exploration and research. However, with Mars in Cancer, the process may involve extensive scrutiny and arduous procedures. Rahu will shift to Pisces on November 29th, 2023, placing it between Saturn and Jupiter. This positioning could intensify competition among tech companies, potentially leading to war-like situations, especially since Mars and Sun will be in the Jyeshta nakshatra from December 9th to December 28th, 2023. Political Outlook Although there may be a possibility of volatile political conditions due to Jupiter's presence in Aries, we can expect normalcy until August 2023. However, starting from September, the situation may become unstable with leaders becoming insecure about their advisors and people feeling that their leaders are incapable of performing their duties. The final solar eclipse in Aries/Libra axis on October 14, 2023, and lunar eclipse on October 28, 2023, may lead to the escalation of warlike situations once again. Countries associated with Libra may be mostly involved in this.

  • Hanuman: The Symbol of Strength, Wisdom and Devotion

Lord Hanuman is revered for his role in the Hindu epic Ramayana due to his unmatched physical strength, wisdom, and devotion to Lord Rama. These three qualities are considered the most important and commonly recognized aspects of Lord Hanuman. He aided Lord Rama in his quest to rescue his wife Sita from the demon king Ravana (asura). According to the epic Ramayana, Hanuman was from the Vánará clan, a group of mythological humanoid beings depicted as having the characteristics of monkeys or apes. Hanuman was born to Anjana through the blessings of Vayu, the god of wind. Vayu blessed Hanuman with various powers, including the ability to fly and control the wind. Hanuman is often referred to as "Pavanputra," which means "son of the wind." Strength: Hanuman's Quest for Sanjeevani During the epic battle between Rama's army and Ravana's army, Rama's brother Lakshmana was seriously injured by an arrow. The only way to save him was to find the Sanjeevani herb, which had the power to bring the dead back to life. Lord Hanuman was sent out on a mission to bring the Sanjeevani. After scouring the entire earth, he finally reached the Dronagiri mountain in the Himalayas, where the herb was believed to grow. However, he was not sure which herb was the Sanjeevani, and in order to not make any mistake, he uprooted the entire mountain and flew back to the battlefield with it. He brought the herb to the sage Sushena, who identified the Sanjeevani and used it to heal Lakshmana. The entire army was overjoyed, and Rama praised Hanuman for his bravery and unwavering devotion. Wisdom: Hanuman's Encounter with Surasa As Lord Hanuman journeyed across the ocean in search of Sita, he encountered a powerful shape-shifting serpent (Naga) named Surasa. She emerged from the water and demanded that Hanuman enter her mouth to travel past her. Hanuman replied that, as Surasa was a demoness, she might eat him up once he entered her mouth. Surasa responded that this was exactly her intention, as Lord Brahma's boon stated that anyone who passed by her must enter her mouth. With his quick wit, Hanuman grew in size, and Surasa grew to match his size, preparing to swallow him whole. However, just as Hanuman was entering Surasa's mouth, he shrank himself down immediately and slipped out of her grasp. Hanuman reminded Surasa of Lord Brahma's boon, which had been fulfilled, and thus, he was free to go. Surasa was stunned by his wisdom and blessed him, saying that he would surely succeed in his mission. She also revealed that the gods had asked her to test his wisdom, and that her blessings would ensure his success. And thus, Hanuman's determination and quick thinking helped him overcome Surasa's challenge and continue on his quest to rescue Sita. Devotion: Hanuman Found His True Master in Lord Rama Hanuman's devotion to Lord Rama stemmed from his deep sense of loyalty and admiration for his divine qualities. Hanuman recognized Rama as the embodiment of righteousness, courage, and compassion, and felt a natural pull towards serving him. As he witnessed Rama's heroic deeds and unwavering commitment to dharma, Hanuman's love and devotion for him only grew stronger. Hanuman Jayanti Hanuman Jayanti is a divine occasion, commemorates the birth of Lord Hanuman, typically observed twice in a year. First one on the full moon day (Purnima) of Swati nakshatra of the lunar month of Chaitra, which falls in March or April. On this auspicious day, Lord Hanuman had spiritual awakening through his penance, which transformed him from a devotee to an enlightened guru. This day marks the rebirth of Hanuman, and hence it is called Jayanti, which means "birth." Second one on the day of Moola nakshatra in the solar month of Margazhi, which falls between December and January. On this auspicious day, Lord Hanuman was actually born on earth in the physical form to bless us with his divine presence and to guide us on the path of righteousness. Hanuman Jayanti celebration is a grand affair with devotees offering prayers, reciting hymns and offering sweets and fruits to the lord. Devotees also love chanting the Hanuman Chalisa to invoke the blessings of Lord Hanuman. Hanuman Chalisa Chanting Hanuman Chalisa is a powerful practice, to bring strength, wisdom, courage, and a deep sense of devotion to those who recite it with sincerity and devotion. One such verse from the Hanuman Chalisa is: बुद्धिहीन तनु जानिके, सुमिरौं पवन-कुमार। बल बुद्धि विद्या देहु मोहिं, हरहु कलेस विकार॥ Meaning: "I acknowledge my limited intelligence and offer my salutations to Pavan Kumar (another name for Hanuman). Bestow on me strength, intelligence and knowledge, and free me from all afflictions and impurities."

  • From Commoner to King: The Evolutionary Nature of Dashas

Astrology operates on the basis of time periods, known as dashas. A person goes through numerous dashas in their lifetime, with each one ruled by a specific planet. The intriguing aspect of astrology is its functioning, which can be best comprehended through the “Butterfly Effect”. This principle asserts that a simple flap of a butterfly's wings on one side of the planet can set off a chain reaction of events in the atmosphere, leading to a tornado forming on the other side. This is precisely how nature works, and it's also what astrology proposes. Consider this: if an individual is currently jobless, but an astrologer predicts that this individual will become a king during his Sun dasha, it does not imply that he can sit idle until the beginning of his Sun dasha. Rather, the transition from being a commoner to becoming a king will happen progressively over time, much like the process of Butterfly Effect. The actions and events that occur during the previous dasha period can lead the native to his eventual role as a king, even if he doesn't not realize it at the time. Thus, while it may seem like becoming a king happened suddenly, it is often the result of a gradual process set in motion during the previous dasha. It is exceedingly rare to see a person rise to power overnight and remain there for an extended period. "Power comes with responsibility," as Uncle Ben famously said in Spider-Man. In other words, power will only be granted to those who can handle it. This capacity is not developed overnight but is rather built through one's present actions. Dasha Transition Every planet works in harmony with one another, and thus, each planetary dasha paves the way for the next planetary dasha in an evolutionary manner. The transition between each dasha occurs during the conclusion of one dasha and the commencement of the next. That's why there is always a connection between the planetary ruler of one dasha and the next, even if they are 6-8 houses apart. This connection can be established through various means, such as their respective house lordships or nakshatra lordships or even through mutual aspect. This connection will also show how the transition will be. Conclusion This is what the Butterfly Effect is all about. Even a tiny flap of a butterfly's wing can result in a deadly tornado. This implies that even the smallest unnoticed action is crucial, as it may result in significant changes on earth. Life isn't merely a coincidence. Even the tiniest actions can have a significant impact. Every event in life occurs at a precise moment calculated by nature.

  • Find Your Marriage Timing

Finding the time of marriage is one of the most fascinating and straightforward techniques that I have learned. It entails the merging of two individuals in a lifelong bond, making it an intriguing subject to delve into. However, I have observed that many people receive inaccurate information from astrologers regarding their marriage timing. Hence, I am here to share this technique with you, so you no longer have to rely on anyone else. To determine the timing of marriage in a birth chart, you should examine the positions of Venus, the 7th house, and its lord, as they represent marriage and relationships. For a woman's chart, Jupiter, the significator of the husband, should also be considered. Additionally, supporting factors in the chart such as the 2nd, 4th, and 11th houses and their lords should be analyzed. The 2nd house represents family, 4th house represents the home after marriage, and 11th house represents gains. For ease of understanding, I am using charts of my clients as examples. 1. Person A (Male) Its a chart of a lawyer, who got married on 30th January, 2023. His Venus is positioned strongly in the 1st house. However, Rahu is placed in the 7th house of marriage, and its lord Saturn is in the 6th house, indicating a delay in marriage. Sixth house Saturn delays and not denies. He got married at the age of 32. His 1st and 7th houses have above average strength (Bhava bala) and are influenced by the benefic Jupiter indicating the ability to maintain a stable marriage. His 2nd, 4th and 11th lords are in the 1st house in strong positions. During the marriage, he was running the Moon-Mars Mahadasha and Antradasha. Moon and Mars are Rajyoga planets for this (Cancer) asc and posited together, indicating auspicious moments during their dasha period. In his Navamsha, Moon and Mars are positioned 7 houses away from each other (clearly indicating marriage), further confirming the occurrence of marriage during their period. Planetary Conjunction or Separation by 7 Houses in Navamsha Indicates Marriage. In the transit, Moon and Mars were transiting in his 11th house. Additionally, the 2nd lord was transiting the 7th house while the 7th lord was conjunct the 4th and 11th lord, ultimately leading to the possibility of marriage. 2. Person B (Female) Its a chart of a professor, who got married on 19th November, 2019. Her Venus is exalted with full directional strength in the 4th house showing happiness in the home. Jupiter, the planet of husband is in a strong position in 10th house. Venus and Jupiter are aspecting each other, creating Rajyoga and Lakshmi yoga. The strength of her 7th house is below average but its lord Mercury is strongly posited in the 5th house with the 9th lord of luck, creating Budhaditya yoga denoting love at first sight. Additionally, her 2nd lord is in the 3rd house in its own sign showing strength. Married happened during her Mercury-Venus Mahadasha and Antradasha. The time period of Mercury-Venus typically signifies friendships and companionships, and in this case Mercury, being the 7th lord, and Venus, being the planet of Marriage, indicate a favorable time for marriage. In the Navamsha, her Venus is in the 7th house, while Mercury is in trikona from Venus, indicating mutual support and further confirming the possibility of marriage. In the transit, Mercury and Venus were transiting the 11th house while Venus exchanged positions with Mars. This conjunction in Libra's 11th house, along with the presence of Jupiter in the ascendant, led to the marriage. 3. Person C (Female) Its a chart of a banker, who got married on 24th November 2019. Her 2nd and 7th lord, Venus, is powerfully placed in the 10th house with Saturn and Rahu. Exalted Jupiter from the 4th house mutually aspects Venus, denoting timely marriage but Saturn and Rahu slightly delayed it to the age of 28 during her Saturn-Jupiter Mahadasha and Antradasha. Although Saturn-Jupiter dasha itself is not a direct indicator of marriage, the fact that Saturn and Jupiter are strongly posited 7 houses away from each other suggests the potential for marriage during this period. Furthermore, in her Navamsha, they both are strong again, Saturn is in vargottama & bhavottama while Jupiter is in own sign, further confirming the marriage. Her marriage occurred when Venus, Saturn and Jupiter were transiting her 9th house in Sagittarius. Additionally, the 4th lord Moon and lagna lord Mars were transiting her 7th house, contributing to the possibility of marriage.
